Playing while learning

Here at Dawns Discovery Tree House the children do allot of creative play while learning. This allows the children to explore and learn by using many types of skill building materials. Children learn about life skills, that help them to do things on their own by learning to dress themselves and clean up after themselves and help prepare basic cooking, children develop confidence, competence and self-esteem when they feel they're contributing to their own families well being. We also explore things through touch, smell, taste, hearing and seeing, so that's where hands on activities and creative play work best. This is why when a child is allowed to play and be creative in their own way it allows for a stimulating environment for them to grow and learn in.
